They always have a featured food & drink menu that changes monthly/ seasonally. They consist of very taste appropriate dishes & drinks that play off of the time of year.

I highly recommend the creamy crab & shrimp covered salmon! By far the best salmon I've ever had! Tasteful hint: if you order the red skinned mashed potatoes as your side, you can put in a request to have the mixture added to the top as a gravy if requested when ordering.

Great atmosphere and service. Chairs not the best for obese person. Two meals were great and third wasn't. Pork was dry. Cheesecake was dry too.

We ate in the dining room which was very quiet and great or a dinner date. We originally went to try the burgers since we heard they were good and they had a special on Mondays for $6 burgers. I think that is in the tavern area, which as our first time didn't know there was a difference. Overall still great and would recommend.

Charming place, excellent food and great service! Wednesday is 50 cent wing night, I would highly recommend their sweet and tangy wings! The rest of our food was excellent as well!

This is one of my favorite places to eat! The food & service are always exceptional! I love that you have the choice between tavern style dining upstairs that is more casual or a more romantic style dining downstairs that's more formal.

This is a very popular place for locals & out of town visitors; reservations are a must at peak hours to avoid waiting.

Authentic scenery and great food combine for a unique dining and lodging experience. This 1760s tavern has maintained much of it's charm in the low ceiling, wood beams, and massive fireplace. The food and drinks feature seasonal, locally sourced favorites. I was at the Tavern for a 50th birthday/ college roommate reunion. Three of us booked the 2-room Suite 3, with 2 queen beds and a bath and a half. The rooms were spacious with a sitting area in each room. Shutters covered the deep-set windows, and lovely 4 poster beds graced each room. It was a really lovely setting and the staff was helpful and gracious. The only negative for me, alone, was the complete lack of handicap accessibility. I wear braces on both legs and find steps challenging. There were 2 full flights of steep stairs to get back and forth from our room to the main restaurant area. I know that these old buildings were not created with accessibility in mind, so it was my own fault for not asking. But it was difficult to get around.
