Really reasonable weekly rates on car rentals.
On short notice late on a Friday afternoon I had need of a car. (I had stopped a trip in a small antique airplane at Bedford's excellent airport due to stormy weather..) This Payless operation had a nice car, was pleasant and efficient, and gave me a very nice upgrade. I would absolutely use these guys again in Bedford and will consider them elsewhere. (By contrast, though I generally like and often use Enterprise, the Bedford Enterprise I called before Payless, at 3:30 p.m. had no car. When I told them my situation and pressed them a bit to see if they could get me one from another site...which seemed reasonable since it was still 90 minutes until their 5 p.m. closing...they put me on hold for an extended period (where I listened to endless cycles of "we go the extra mile for you")--only to have them come back and tell me I could pick one up in Johnstown! I said no thanks and called Payless. My impression talking to that Enterprise was they were 20-somethings getting ready for their weekend and striving for me was a low priority...so much for the extra mile.)
